Oh Dear...It's Snowed
Discussion
Careful out there guys it's "blizzard conditions" definitely Arctic weather and quite possibly the greatest weather disaster for 100 years. You mustn't leave the house under any circumstances as we get snow far worse than the rest of the world, go outside and you will instantly freeze!

I've just collected a 997 C2S from a customer to bring in for service, he lives on the Brompton to Knapton road which hadn't been gritted or ploughed. It was a fairly nervous drive in but the car did fine, I just had to take it very steadily. There was 2 cars in the ditch on the Westbound A64/A169 exit, a couple more crashed in Malton.
took me 2.5hrs to do my usual 40min commute this morning!
does anyone know what was going on on the approach from the a63 to the humber bridge? spent an age stood still on the carriageway but there was only a single police car and no signs of an accident when i finally made it to the bridge. odd spot for a pile-up to happen??
i'd also like to thank the royal mail for the first rate idiot they had on deliveries around s.ferriby. complete pillock, he/she was driving with 2 wheels on the pavement indicating to the nearside and braking, then had a complete change of heart as i went to overtake with a lorry coming the other way. cue a brown trouser moment from me as i tried to stop. ended up mounting the kerb and putting the car into a snowdrift rather than ruin everyone's morning. arse.

The car had about 4" snow on it this morning, but the usual 30 minute journey took about 35 minutes once the snow was cleared off it.
I still have the chains in the boot anyway, so can't say I'd be that worried about it continuing (which is forecast).
Signs now that it's melting anyway. Met a colleague who's travelled up from Wilsthire this morning and says it's fine on most of the motorways, the Brummies doing their best to cause chaos though apparently.
I just wish we hadn't left our ski's in Italy!

Some people got up to 10", but Leeds got a couple inch if we're lucky!
I'm getting ready, taking the Volvo and the camera out for a few hours
Nice one, might go get the 355 out if you fancy doing me some snow shots!!! I'm getting ready, taking the Volvo and the camera out for a few hours

I'm not having to pay for a small repair to a small wall due to the Volvo taking a dislike to it
