Hi,
Just proposed and her indoors seems to want to do it christmas time next yr. So ages away in my eyes.
Been given the job of sorting cars out........ Any decent firms about in the local area? Leeds/Harrogate.
Quite open to ideas re: cars i.e modern or classic.
Funds will be as tight as i can keep them!
Thanks in advance!

We used this guy...

Cost us about £150 for a couple of hours last year, bubbly included.
Nice bloke, in fact he's a neighbour of ours.
Had a white Lincoln Town Car at the time don't know if he's still got it.
Tell him Terry sent ya!;)

Congratulations. And don't get too smug about how long you've got to get stuff sorted out...
We hired two 1960s Jaguars from http://www.summerwineclassics.co.uk/weddings/index... for our wedding near Wetherby in 2007.
Richard was a complete professional and also a real car fan.
(Although I think he preferred bikes.)

We had a classic 1920's convertable Rolls Royce from Horsfields of Halifax.
They are a traditional coachbuilder as well as doing wedding cars, price was reasonable (in 2004)and the car was great. They built their own cars, so you can have several matching cars if needed.
Their website is www.vintagerolls.co.uk

We're using Horsfields this summer too. If you go there, make sure you ask to see what they've got in the workshop. When we were there they had a lovely Bentley Special they'd built up from a chasis that sounded amazing. They are a traditional coachbuilder as well as doing wedding cars, price was reasonable (in 2004)and the car was great. Depends what car you want and how deep you want to dig...

This is me and the O/H last July, I wanted this car no-matter what, and after a hiccup a week before the wedding, I managed to get one! They'll cost, but they look SO good.
I think everyone expects classics, as nice as they are, and stretch limos are just NOT ok....
If you're interested in the Rolls, I have a contact if you want to pm me!

We did too. It was in November when we got married and they supplied hot water bottles and sheepskin rugs so you can get snug in the back.
One interesting point - the car we had was old enough to have a red RR badge on the front. They changed to black in the early '30s when Mr Royce died.

Nice car, bad suit (no offence meant).

Limo's are a no-no, in fact can't think of a reason for thier existance at all.
