Decent (and cheap) parking in Leeds city centre?
Discussion
I'm getting moved from Headingley to Leeds city centre in June (near LGI) and need to find some decent parking that's also on a budget. Preferably free. I don't mind walking 10-15 mins.
A couple of days a week it'd be starting 8-8.30am, the others at 10am, so it's not exactly rush-hour. However, at least one of the days would be finishing post-9pm so a multi-storey wouldn't be an option.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

This is a bit of a problem. At weekends, I just park at the university, but other wise you'd be looking at Woodhouse or Hyde Park for free parking. I'd suggest not doing that if you value your vehicle! I usually use the Woodhouse Lane multistory place opposite the Dry Dock which is fine, but still involves expenditure.

Around water lane there are some cheaper car parks.
Depending on where your coming from park and ride?
One on King Lane in Alwoodley.
Are they the ones along from the Honda dealership? Look to be OK value for a full day, although I had a meeting in town and left my car for a couple of hours - cost £7. Thank heavens for expenses...Depending on where your coming from park and ride?

I work just off the Headrow and park by Leodis Residences (Uni Halls) on North West Road. I get into the city around 8am and there is plenty of free and touch wood what seems to be well lit and safe parking. I walk 15 minutes to Park Row so probably about the same for you I'd guess.
I would add that I'd agree with the above. I drive in because I don't live in a town with a train station, but having travelled from Dewsbury to Leeds before I'd say train all the way.
