Can anyone recommend somewhere that does exhaust sleeving in the Halifax or surrounding areas??
I had mine done at Station Garage in Brighouse. But from my experience sleeving on a Chim can be a tricky business.
The process is to find someone who can open up the silencer box, remove the wadding and then remove the perforated pipes. Next step is to weld 2 solid pipes back in to sleeve or replace the perforated pipes. Then shove the wadding back in and weld the silencer box back up.
Before you start you may want to check that the exhaust sytem is in good order, as I ended up putting a whole new ACT Cherry Bomb exhaust on.
Anyway, a simple answer to your question is: any garage that are competent, know what you want then to do, and can weld stainless.
Good luck!
