Any suggestions for proper Fish and Chips - preferably at the end of a decent run.

Start off with Magpie at Whitby smile

Wetwang and Brandsburton both good and owned by the same people (not cheap though).

Whitedales (I think) however are IMo the best in the area in Hornsea.

There is allegedly a good one in Brid too.

If you feeling brave and driving a snotter apposed to your pride and joy the chippie on Dib Lane is very good.

+1 for the one in Wetwang and the one on the main road in Stamford Bridge is also pretty good - can sit outside in summer too (if you can find a seat among all the bikers).

Magpie in Whitby is great, but there's always a queue - some of the others in Whitby are worth a look if you find yourslef in that situation.

Mmmmm, fish and chips.

yes
I've gone off the Magpie as we had a bad one last year. My lad was riding pillion an hour or so after F&C and was digging me in the ribs for a mile before I realised he wanted me to stop to barf.
I prefere the one over the swing bridge beside the harbour now.

Same here, stopped going to Marlows. Try Nashs in Chapell Allerton.

I always thought the Magpie was very over rated, I wouldn`t go back.

Murgatroyds is average at best.

Thornton le Dale had a lovely little chippie though.

The one on Newbiggin in Richmond is also quality smile
