Hi

I've already asked this on the "Food, drink & restaurant" forum but I've been advised that I might get a better response here.

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in Skipton?

Many thanks

I'm not aware of any particularly good restaurants in Skipton but 5/10 minutes up the road and you could be at 'The Angel' in Hetton. Truly excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere.

I agree.

Also, if you are looking for somewhere a bit more casual, http://www.bizzielizzies.co.uk/bizzielizzies/ used to be a safe bet. Haven't been for a fair few years.

How about Napiers?

Haven't been there for about 10 years personally but it was very good and my parents went late last year and reported it was good. It even has a bit of a car theme smile

Another local one that's a short drive away and excellent:

What sort of food are you looking for and on what kind of budget?

Hi guys

Many thanks for the recommendations. We've not been to Yorkshire much but it's DEFINITELY on our 'to do again' list.

We stayed in Skipton, spent Sunday on a 'behind the scenes' tour of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (recommended: see www.kwvr.co.uk) & came home via RHS Harlow Carr.

We gave the LS Cerbera a good run out & shpub enjoyed sampling the local beers.

I know the thread has served it's purpose now but just in case anyone searches for the same in the future I've just had a really nice lunch with the folks at Le Caveau in Skipton - http://www.lecaveau.co.uk

Highly recommended.
