Just gone thru the tunnel heading for Harrogate, and there was a Police car at that end

For those who enjoy this mini tunnel be aware that the Police
now sit at both ends of the tunnel often with speed traps
They frequently sit at the Bradford end but I haven't seen them at the other end before

Although it is 2 lanes in each direction and used to be 40mph - it is now actually only a 30mph limit

Don't get caught out - I have nearly been twice now.

Thanks, it's easy to get caught out when they change the speed limits on roads you know well, but haven't used for a while.

I went through there today, usual procedure.... windows down a it, sigh from the passenger with rolling of eyes, knock the 'box down a few cogs and then enjoy the noise... unfortunately the cars in front were crawling so it just didn't happen, maybe that was for the best, even if they weren't there on that occasion.

Even the small chunks of enjoyment are being taken from us, make it 30 at the ends of the tunnel by all means but let's have it set to something higher in the middle please smile

Cheers for the heads-up. I've had some second cam action through there recently. Will refrain in future.

would be quite funny to take something noisy through there and rev the knackers off of it as opposed to thrashing the car thorough it, they'd be gutted to hear all that noise and begin hoping you go through the trap at 70 only to roll past at 30 revving the engine hehe

I think it will be 1st gear all the way thru for me now
At least that may make the copper spill his coffee

They are there all too often for comfort at the moment

Looks like I will be making the inner ring road in Leeds my new 2nd home
as at least there, they have nowhere to hide
(until they add more Scameras)

Cheers
Richard

Why not go through at 30mph in first gear?

It will have the same effect and confuse the BiB.......hehe
