i liked that, made me laf.
specialy the bit where they say that any1 can bolt on a 200bhp kit to any old banger n make it go silly quick! hhmm, maybe not 200bhp unless u have a fully forged engine!

It would be just great if some of the Malton meet guys came through to York Raceway later...only a tenner to get in. (Forecast is good now).
Looks like most of the fast cars in the North of England will be in Malton.hehe

If coming from there...avoid A64 Scarborough road by cutting across from Norton (Welham Rd) to Stamford Bridge, then High Catton across A1079 to Melbourne. smile

Great driving route too, incidentally.

What time is the Drag racing on & where is it located? (York is a bit too vague!) I'm going to the Big Breakfast meet at Malton but this sounds like a good option for extending the day, more details please.

Starts from 10am Sunday...til late.

Best look for 'Ash Lane', Melbourne YO42 on satnav. That will get you near as dammit there, as airfield is off that road.

Otherwise get to Melbourne village via main York-Hull rd (A1079) if coming from Malton side, and ask a local. You'll be only a mile or so away. Look for signs for Seaton Ross/Melbourne near Wilberfoss on A1079.

Anyone coming from south or west can come off the M62 at Howden junc.37...signposted from there, but basically follow signs for York.
