Sorry - little bit O/T, but a mate of mine is organising a stag do for his mate in Leeds and needs decent bar suggestions, then they will carry on from there.

Any thoughts?

Theyre coming in on trains and have been advised to meet at Wetherspoons in the station. Anything else good but local?

Also, good food places for that type of party - probably good indian or chinese places perhaps?

Dont stay too long in Wethers!

Its a little bit awkward if you dont know your way round as all the great little bars are spread between a lot of chavvy crap ones.

Mojo is a fave, as is the Mexican style place over the road which I can never remember the name off - good DJ usually playing all sorts!

Call Lane:
Jakes Bar
Norman's
Oporto

As Above Strongly suggest Mojo's

Wire was very quiet last time I went in there (rock/indie)

If you want very drunken middle age ladies on their Hen doo head to OK Karaoke been to a couple of staff nights out and constantly feel the youngest there.

Food... Akhbars!!! Or there is absolutely fab Japanese placed at the side of the Marian centre. Portions are huge too.
Wildcats is pretty fun

Have a good night biggrin

My main bit of advice about Leeds would be to split up if you are in a big group of blokes. It's the only place I've been to where groups of any more than 4 blokes are turned away by doorman. They don't seem to like letting groups in, especially in the more classy establishments.

I'm setting off for my stag do this morning. Going to Liverpool for 3 nights. Wish me luck!!

Wise advise that is!

Nothing worse than going out in a group, good atmosphere only to have it dampended by this kind of thing!
