Portmyster - Have you met StuB ... he has a rather special Z3 (to say the least).

Quite an effective supercharger helps it keep up with mine up to about 120 and with AP racing brakes it stops in half the distance ... oh, and he pedals it well enough that most of us haven't a prayer of keeping up with him cross country!

That is also the same Sunday as the Porsche club do at Harewood House.

I won't be able to come, but wanted to post a warning about the Cumbria casualty reduction (scamera) vans.

My mother, who has never had a speeding ticket in her 30 years plus of driving got caught doing 70mph down a 60mph B road somewhere between Kirby Stephen and the M6 by a scruffy yellow van, which was unmarked and resembled a builders van.

This is a road I often use between the A66 and Kendal, and never gave a thought to the presence of unmarked detector vans.

Hope you guys have a good run out.

might be up for this - can you email me the proposed route - I don't fancy and early morning trek to Castleford only to end up coming back my way. Maybe join on route if convenient.

Also what about making it earlier? - well out of the way of plods

If I wasn't in the Maldives on honeymoon I would have been up for this. However, if you change it to Saturday 6th June then you can all come to my wedding, which just happens to be in the lake district!

Well up for this - however...

6am is NOT early! I'd expect to have at least 100 miles under my belt by then! make it 4am meet, and I'm in driving
