Drove through these last night but big signs up saying not yet in use.

Anyone know when these will come into action? I presume there is going to be some roadworks etc etc

If it's in roadworks, then I have no problem with it.

So that going to be from jct 34 down to 25 that is going to be a 50mph limit? Oh joy banghead
I think the problem is that I find myself desperately trying to stick to less than 50mph and don't spend a huge amount of time looking ahead for hazards. It's also incredibly boring. I had to go down to our Birmingham office a couple of weeks ago and there are 4 seperate sets of these to negotiate. I respect the idea of keeping construction workers safe, but 9 times out of 10 there seems to be almost complete inactivity anyway!

I do find a series of cruise at 50, slow to 20, fly back to 50 and lap MLMs in the meantime seems to go down well.
If it is from Jct 34-25 then I probably won't be going back home again for a while smile

With these I've a tendency to go along the A50 at Derby, then up the A515 through Ashbourne to Buxton and onto Glossop and Homfirth, then home.

It's more entertaining than sitting in a long line of 50mph traffic. However, they've made a lot of this route 50 too

9 junctions of everyone driving next to each other at exactly 50. Bet that's not going to cause accidents.

looks like it's only over the viaduct that will have the limit at present so not as bad as first thought!!
