More Specs - M62 / M1 interchange

Looked more like potential roadworks than a permanent install but I noticed a gantry and 2 cameras on the M62 (Junction 29) eastbound as I took the turning for the M1 north this morning. One to watch out for maybe.

It's on the part where the 2 lanes eastbound open up to become 3 lanes just after the turning.

Yep I've seen one on the westbound between Normanton and Rothwell junctions, but I hop off at Rothwell, and there isn't a second one I pass through.

Are they actually active on the 70mph section then? Seen loads of people blasting along there.

I haven't been any further along to see how many more there are but then I've never heard of anyone being caught by a SPECS camera anyway.

That's my commute route. Cameras currently inactive, but bound to be up and running soon. I'll probably start to take the A639 to Castleford to avoid if that's the case. How many more lengths of these average speed cameras can we tolerate?

Yep, the more they 'slow down' trunk routes, the more people just use the more inappropriate ones.
