Samsung Pixon or Sony Ericsson C905
Discussion
I've got the Samsung Pixon.
It looks good with a big screen but the touch screen technology is no where near as good as say the iPhone. The camera, whilst being an 8M pixel, is fiddly to use and has this annoying delay when you try and take a pic and quality not great....8M pixels is fine but the tiny lens almost makes those extra pixels useless! My old 4M pixel Sony Cybershot gives better quality pics! If it's a good camera phone you want then the Sony Ericsson might be a good call? When you view your pics on landscape the tilting mechanism is uber sensitive and annoying when you try and show a pic as all of a sudden the pics start scrolling across the screen! Texting is made easier through the qwerty touch screen keyboard but it is sensitive and easy to type the wrong key when trying to text fast.
It is however, a reasonable cheaper alternative to the iPhone for texting and calling it's fine but I'd wished I'd spent more and got an iPhone but wanted to stay with Orange and they don't do one!
Anyone know what would happen if you come out of an 18 month contract with Orange early?

If you've had it for a while, say 6-9 months, then you can normally drop the contract down to the lowest package, ~£10 a month, and just pay that alongside your new iPhone
. However, if you want to cancel the contract you have to pay an exit fee, which conveniently is the cost of your monthly rental for the remainder of the 18 months...Alternatively, get a friend or family member to take it over from you.

Just get the iPhone unlocked.
