Air-Con - Recharge needed near Leeds
Discussion
I know there is a post on here already with this info but having been through the section I can't seem to find it, search feature is down at the moment so it's been a case of checking the pages manually.
I need a recharge for my daily driver Puma asap, it's far too warm for my liking and the chap I've used in the past, Antarctic Vehicle Air Conditioning, hasn't returned my messages. Kwik Fit seem like an easy option at £45 but I have this underlying fear of having anything done with them.
Are they are local specialists that PHers generally trust?
Will keep trying the search button to see if it starts working but any useful pointers would be appreciated in the meantime.
Cheers!
And, apart from the amount being far too small to charge a decent sized system, the cans from Halfords are about £35.00 and a pain to use. I tried one that a chap had bought and couldnt work out how to use. I had to keep heating the can up in hot water to get it to empty itself. It took me about 30-40 minutes and barely made any impression on the system.
I find Kwik Fit hard to beat if the system just needs a re-charge. It costs you nothing if it fails the leakdown test and it costs you nothing if they charge it and it still doesnt work - and if it does work, its a fair price - no lose, I'd say! Don't, however, expect any sense or advice if there is a problem. They generally havent a clue.
