Morning all,

A foray to the North for me to ask can anyone recommend a friendly garage in the Headingley area of Leeds? My sister needs a bit of welding doing on her runaround and doesn't really know where to go. Any recommendations would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

Andy Turner is just down by Morrisons but on the other side of the river in an industrial estate. Quite a few people on here have had work done by him. 01132784003.

Never had any work done but Princess Garage is part of the BP good garage scheme and have always seemed ok when we have rung for quotes etc.

They were going to do £400 repair on my gf's car, which was only worth £400. While we were weighing up our options the car was stolen for scrap from our drive way.

Princess Garage is centre of headingley.

Dont bother with Alba on Headingley Lane - they're after gullible students.

OT, Alba have done me some pretty decent prices on tyres in the past for both the Jag and the Porsche.

Campers and Cars in Armley. Canal Road ind estate, opposite the Armley Mills car park.

Shameless plug tbh, since I know the owners, but they do good work, plus there's always some nice classic VWs to poke around in.

Beechwoods behind the Coop on Cardigan Road is excellent. They've always been fair with my missus and managed to give my dreadful Clio an MOT the other month.

Alba tried to charge me £110 each for tyres worth £60 - £70... Even when mentioning I've had quotes from other companies they said they won't be the same tyre?!
They see a girl and think we're gullable. I'd advise staying away.

It may depend on which Alba you go to.

hmm. I like them, they match most other quote, you can drop in anytime, they give advice, walk into Headingley and have a coffee whilst they work....
