Thought I would share my shots from the RWYB at York last weekend

Was a good day (thanks Trickie) and I'm becoming thoroughly addicted to Drag Racing again...love the smell of alky and top fuel wink

Yeah the funny car was estimated (by owner) to be running 2000bhp on the day, blown chevy running on methanol

Sadly it had blown a gasket and was leaking pure methanol into the sump so couldn't run! Sounded nice though and should be capable of a reasonable time for an alky mobile

The Landrover BoxerIII was a fully spaceframed Land-a-like packing the grunt of a modified Ford Lightning blown V8 - was running estimated mid 12s all day..comical it was biggrin

Mark Flavells FC is the ex-Trevor Capewell "Southern Rebel"/ex-Leif Helander "Starkotter" Saab bodied car, now running in SuProET trim with a blown big block chevy rather than the full TM/FC Hemi setup. As far as I can remember I think in this configuration its run a best somewhere around a 7.2 but I could be doing Mark an injustice there as I know the dragster which came before it with a very similar motor setup ran down into the sixes with my hero Des Taylor doing the driving.

Edit to add: I forgot to mention that earlier in the year Mark had a serious fire in his lockup and although luckily the body was still in the transporter, the chassis and running gear, tools and spares were all badly damaged in the fire, so its really nice to see him back out so soon.
