I have had my bin emptied today, Monday.

If your bin has not been emptied by 8 p.m. (please note new time) on your day of collection please take it back into your garden or yard and put it out on your next scheduled collection day.
I belligerently didn't take my bin in on SATURDAY, my usual bin-emptying day, because I want the general public ( +/- and councillors etc) to see how disgustingly untidy and unhygienic the state of affairs is. IE one bin emptying in 7 weeks for me.

Imagine my surprise when I come home to see a bin lorry and I've been emptied.

NOT on my regular day

There's a lesson in this somewhere,,,

My bins been on the street now for 8 weeks.. I refuse to move it the bin and the bags by the side as I would have to walk passed it to get in my house...
Rung up last week, to be told it's been collected on Saturday (still there today)

I stuck mine out on the normal day last week (Thursday - Bramley) and it and all the extra bags had been collected. It was 6 weeks since our last collection. I believe they started collecting the week previous but we didn't bother putting them out as the website has always said put them out anyway and we got fed up of them not being collected.

It's gone private as far as I'm aware and I've been seeing a lot of commercial rental wagons around lately.

Its all guesswork when to stick out your bins. A bit annoying.

Its our green bin that needs emptying mainly now though.

I went to the leeds city council web site, there is a complaints form I filled out. Not sure if just a coincidence but my bin got emptied 2 days later not on our regular day. I might add they only collected my rubbish and one other house and left the rest.

My household waste bin has been emptied on the regular day, just every other week rather than weekly. The brown and green ones haven't been touched though. Isn't it odd how it's so different according to which postcode you're in.

We've had one collection since this started. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. I've been making trips to the tip every so often with rubbish just to stop a pile of bags building up. Problem is that the trip to the tip likely cost me a new tyre after a big feck off nail went through it and I didn't find out till I spotted it the day after. £130 to empty my own bins on top of my council tax, Thank you LCC.

might move me bins next to the bus stop just down the road... might loose our black bin but at least they'll take the rubbish...
Made a complaint about two weeks ago frown

Same here, mine has been out for 2.5 weeks and thankfully got picked up on a random off-chance day.

If I'd have left it in it'd probably be another 2 weeks till it got done... a bit retarded isn't it.

so, who's up for organising a mass dumping of bin bags/rubbish outside in the centre of millenium square?
