... or at least your 993 as I was getting off the ferry in Rotterdam. I was thinking you're a bit brave considering the weather but then I remembered seeing you post about winter tyres..

How was the drive?

I was a bit surprised that you two hadn't spotted the fact that you were both on the same ferry, but then realised that you are probably not linked on Facebook so wouldn't have seen each other's updates.

Come on Firth, updates of Autobahn shenanigins required please smile

Well drive was good thanks....had new Falken winters all round so no problems with whatever the weather threw at me, as it turned out the weather was pretty benign...a bit of snow on the ground in Amsterdam and some in the higher Alpine region but apart from that nothing! Quite disappointed really!!

Did over 1,400 miles and to be able to keep up a good pace (100 mph+) on the autobahns helped on the schlep down to Bodensee...having said that the speed of some of the BMW/Audi/Merc 'barges' has to be seen....all I can say is I hope they're confident of their stopping distances!! Autobahns pretty good though....only held up briefly a couple of times for roadworks and a shunt, nothing like here! smile
