Does anybody know of any companies, ideally fairly local, that do some sort of track day experience. But more tailored towards more track time rather than a Supercar experience.

More like a sports car, like MR2, Elises or Caterhams or something along those lines, but where you get to chuck them around a track for half a day, or at least about an hour rather than just a few laps?

Cheers in Advance

We can organise an Elise, Caterham or various other cars, at very reasonable cost, on one of our trackdays at Teesside Autodrome, Middlesbrough. Have a look at www.thetrackdayclub.com

If you have an idea of what budget you are working with, we can give you an idea of the options!

Cheers, will pass that info on! Quite tempted myself for that price. £99 seems good value for a track day. Quite an interesting looking circuit too! Pity about the noise limit though, will have to bring something quieter!

Where abouts on the website is the bit about renting a car?

Come on, it's still not 'loud' though, is it?

I think we need a sound-off at the next pub meet. Has someone got a decibel meter they can bring again?

Mine's been quietened down now, so it's probably not louder than yours anymore. Last time we had a sound-off I'm pretty sure it kicked your arse (in volume at least).

Was that before or after I fitted a Tubi and decat pipes?

You can borrow my race car on a bendit youmendit arrangement and a couple of pints will have to change hands in the right direction. It's got a passenger seat in at the moment as well for winter testing purposes.

My mate Matt Coggins also has a couple of race cars which can be hired at a reasonable cost for track days or racing. Everything's built to Red Dragon MR2 Series Spec so the engines are standard but the suspension is full race and they are very light. You'd be surprised.
