South Yorkshire Pub Meet

Just a thread to gauge of anyone would be intrested in a south yorkshire pub meet, probably base it around sheffield, somewhere close to the m1?

Hi guys, I am just about to confirm another date for the next meet following the initial peak district pub meet on 28th feb. I appreciate that one's full however the next venue will be accommodate both owners and enthusiasts and the location is very near to the m1. Like I said just waiting to confirm a date as I dont wish to clash with other meets but it will be in april. Mat do you want to help me organise that one as I also have plans to do a couple more peak district pub meets as the weather improves? Let me know

I would be up for helping you out adam, as i have said before i spend a lot of my time in the hope valley and have a lot of family and friends out there. I dont know if you know the caravan park in bradwell but thats owned by my dad.

I'd be more than willing to pop down for a pie and pint sometime, just need to sort a car first! I'll keep my eye on this for some dates though.

Definitely up for this as I'm a Rotherham lad & local meets are few & far between. Be nice to have some decent driving roads near tho'.

Il take you for a hoon over my favorite roads sometime when ive got something a bit sportier, start off over strines moor, onto the snake then back over the woodhead, perfect afternoon out.

Well I live about 1 minute away from the M1, so anywhere in South Yorkshire thats near the motor way is only a few mins away from me.

I was thinking maybe the village of Wentworth? There's a decent size car park there and plenty of pubs!

Wentworth is good, only 5 mins away from me, so what dates are good or everyone, weekend or midweek?

I'm near Doncaster. Can do most days/times outside of normal working hours providing I get a little bit of notice.

I'm thinking Spring would be best, gives me time to sort a car.. Plus i imagine a few people will still have theirs tucked away?

As for time, weekends are better for me personally, as I start work 10:30pm through the week.

ETA - Majority rules though, and i'll try fit it round me the best i can..

I need to do Strines, Woodhead and the Snake again, but I need a better car first.
