M62 50mph zone now active

Just a heads up that the 50mph average speed zone is now active over the whole stretch between Leeds and Brighouse. Seems most of the idiots this morning thought it was still advisory from M621 junction and can probably look forward to some nice tickets in the post.

I noticed but was maybe slightly quicker than I should have been. Still, traffic dictated that speed wasnt above 60 max so got my fingers crossed that i'm within the threshold.

It's been active all weekend. Won't make a massive difference as most people who drive don't understand road signs and have been doing 50 through them for the past month anyway.

I went to Manchester airport last week and was spooked as so many were doing 50 even at 5.00 in the morning.

Thanks for the heads up as I have another Manchester flight next week and will need to allow c30 mins to my 'normal' ETD.

The image below must be from a completely separate trip, from when I drove the autoahn, or something, when I had a passenger to take the picture BTW. Great MPG eh?

LPG for the win. I managed 66mpg (equivalent) in my Lexus LS430 (4.3L V8) last weekend - Halifax to London.

If you're lucky the regular heavy traffic might have kept your speed down low enough!

I went through it at 50 yesterday and today, having been to ikea twice in the last two days First time becuase mrs slopes wanted green candles to match the lounge scheme, then back again today to get a fking green rug. Most of the people who were going through were doing at least 60, so either they dont work, or these people dont give a st
