ditto. transmission failure means new daily driver required! anything considered, 15yrs+ would allow me to keep my current classic policy, though something much simpler/more economical than the last car [528i] is in order

Gutted. I just sold my old Clio for £100 on Friday. Rather foolishly bought a 306 Rallye which I'm now hell-bent on bankrupting myself with. As if my plastic car wasn't bad enough...

Got an old 306, Its not too pretty but its a five door 1.4 in bluey/grey.
Did head gasket last year and its run sweet ever since, new front tyres last year(£15 each)
