Hi Chaps,

Ive signed up for a couple of bodywork/welding related courses at Leeds Uni in the summer break (first 2 weeks of July).

They sent me a list with a few of the local travel lodge type places - but wheres good to stay thats cheap, very close to the Uni and not going to send me home with insect infestation or food poisoning?

The student Halls that is joined onto Leeds College of Music might be worth a Try - my mum works there and I seem to rembmer they often have spare rooms over summer. Its in the city centre but there wont be any parking.

Theres tonnes of Halls all over Leeds though and I know soem of them will do a short term let.

Look up 'unite students' and 'opal' as they run most of them.

PS if you want to park your 911 on my drive your more than welcome, I will require the keys though in case it blocks the garage. biggrin

Thats a kind offer - not one Im unfamiliar with actually wink

Ive managed to track down exactly which past of the vast Leeds Uni complex the course is taking place in, and have geared my search to be as close as possible - I dont like mornings at the best of times, and if Im within walking distance and can get a relatively secure parking slot I'll leave the motor there whilst Im busy destroying the University donor vehicles.

Ive contacted 3 B&B's now, and await their best price for a sad billy no mates for a couple of weeks.

What courses are these? When I was looking around there was nothing available. Unfortunately early July would be out for me anyway but if they run others or maybe next year I would be interested.

Hi, sorry I missed your response.

Im doing 2 summer courses of a week long each, welding and panel fabrication.

They have more courses and are always very quick to respond to enquiries.

I would suggest you contact: Terry Devaney - Terry.Devaney@leedscitycollege.ac.uk who seems to be the main man there for these things.

and have a look at this link (below) which details the courses run from this area of the Uni:

Let us know if anything suits!
