I'm after an (internal) door for our sitting room, however, the current one is 1700x725mm which is a lot smaller than standard and I'm struggling to find one (not least of all in North Lincs).

Can anyone help or advise as to where I can get one from?

Thanks

Standard size is 1981 x 762, so your width isn't too bad. Height is an issue though.
So far as I can tell, you only have a couple of options. If you live in a cottage, you could go for a ledge and brace door, basically a glorified gate, but you can reduce in size to suit your opening. Not so good in a modern semi though! Then your other choice would probably need to be something like a ply faced fire door, which will be 44mm thick though.as its not being used as a fire door, you could reduce it in size, but it would be paint grade only! You could add some kind of mouldings to make it look more traditional if need be.

Best places to buy from :-

Howdens Joinery ( trade only )
B & Q
M K M
Jewsons
Magnet.

Happy hunting. smile

Not a standard size, as said the cheap option is to get a board face door knock out the top rail and lower it. If you want a door to match others or just want a good quality door having one made is probably the only option.
