At last, Saturday and it's sunny! Roof off, places that I pretend that I have to go to ... see another TVR, flash, wave ZILCH frown (Tuscan stickered up (have to say the USAF markings looked good) on Shipley to Otley road) ... then later ANOTHER TVR, so wave, flash ... ZILCH AGAIN frown (Green Chimaera on A65 near Burley-in-Wharfedafe) ... has my red Griffith gone invisible?

I'll tell you what's up with one particular local TVR driver - he's been in work all chuffing weekend! I promise I'd have waved if I'd seen you though John!

Nick, let's put it THIS way ... so far today it's rained, rained a bit harder ... then the heavens opened, and guess what? It's STILL raining (hence spending the middle of the day on P/H!)! I will look out for your black Tamora, I am sure that I have seen that very special reg once or twice! John

John - I've seen a car just like yours going up / down Station Road three times over the last month or so (each time on a nice warm day). Most recently was Saturday morning going past the Co-op on Station Road. Was that you?

Sounds probable, YES... you must hang around the Co-op lots though, cos I didnt even realise I had been out that often recently! Normally it will be DOWN Station Road, cos back back is UP the 1-way bit of Sun Lane biggrin

There you go your car's not gone invisible as you feared. It made a fantastic noise as you passed. I’ll give you a wave or a flash of the lights next time I see you (I’m the guy with no hair and a double pushchair / black M6 / black Range Rover / black X5). Take care. Dave

That'll be Gordon (the-gopher) and to be fair he was a little down and poorly having just found out he had chickenpox 5 days before Le Mans. The rest of us have been having a laugh at his expense since then biggrin

John - You should have been with me and half a dozen TVR owners at Harewood Hillclimb on Saturday
Lots to see and it was Veterans and Vintage Day there, so it was great fun to watch the old boys in the even older cars

It is the Yorkshire and Humberside Region monthly meet tonight at the Woolpack in Esholt from 8pm
so as long as it isn't pouring down there should be a good turnout of TVRs in the car park
or
Thursday is the North Yorkshire meet at Hopperton (nr Knaresboro) if you fancy a run out

Cheers
Richard

I 'strayed' over the hill on Saturday and saw a number of TVR's, all of which acknowledged us.

Shame it was my last day with the T350T. frown

Sorry, John. It will have definitely been me and I do usually give a flash and a wave. That said, I was in a particularly miserable mood given that I had caught Chickenpox just in time for Le Mans. Will keep an eye out for you now I know you are about.

OK Gordon, that is an original excuse! I don't suppose that you are doing the Le-Mans Classic too???
