Just bring me a suitcase of the new iPhone's over as thanks ;-)
This had me thinking, is there anything I should stock up on here in the US and then have USAF pay to bring it over?

Like something that could put a couple extra dollars in my pocket but still give you guys a great deal on.

Still On the iPhone topic......the older model iPhones (which are still very sought after in the UK) are going for peanuts in the US, around $99 brand new. I am going to get my Brother-in-Law to send me some over (he lives in NYC).

I wasn't talking about just bringing iPhones, that just gave me the idea so other ideas are more then welcome.

Apple laptops, the Air is about 40% cheaper state side and you can fit 20 in a suitcase. you'll make $400 each on eBay.
Software is another thing that is a lot cheaper in the US.
[techy speak]Microsoft MSDN is £3000 here, costs a lot less overthere and they are like gold dust for small companies.[/techy speak]
Firearms are a fraction of the price too - but could be difficult getting them through customs! I could do with a new shotgun for clay pigeon shooting actually.
There are lots of things you could make a tidy profit on as the pound is quite week at the moment.

So do the USAF Not have to pay duty on stuff they bring across like for example iPads etc? I would have thought you would get stung for it if you try and bring a case full of stuff!

If you bring the Corvette you`d better bring your own petrol - prices have dipped a little here but stil approx £1.20 a litre - that`s just under $10 a US gallon I think.
Hope you have a very happy stay & enjoy North Yorkshire while you`re here - it`s a lovely place to live.

If you want to see what UK prices are like, check ebay.co.uk. Be aware of any import duty and taxes you might have to pay too.

you won't as the people who buy them keep them. very hard to get hold of second hand - hence you can charge 'top dollar'
