There were some horror stories about getting in & out of this last year (hours...) - worth checking it out before you go.

Only a couple of hours. That makes you a lucky one.

The one junction cannot cope with all the cars leaving. They do have other exits, but didn't use them last year. They may change that after all the complaints last time but i wouldn't bet on it.

Make sure you have a full tank of fuel and some extra sandwiches.

For this year's event Harewood have built a new entrance on the Leeds side of the junction which should take a large amount of the grief of getting in.

At the end of the day any event that is this popular on a hot sunny day is going to be busy and therefore make getting in hard work, regardless of where it is.

It can also be worht buying advance tickets from the website, you can print them yoursleves at home at thereby stop you from having to queue at the ticket booth!

PS

I have no connection to Harewood other than organising an event there.

Getting in isn't the problem wink.

I'll stick to CITP at Harewood later in the year and right outside the house.

we went last year. Took a couple of hours to get somewhere near then parked up where we could and walked in. So glad we didn't drive in. Some folk are still trying to get out now!

You could always park in the roads around Eccup and use the footpaths to sneak in from the back of Harewood (not that I would condone that sort of behaviour!)
