The planned Help for Heroes has moved from RAF Church Fenton to Sherburn In Elmet Airfield. This is down New Lennerton Lane, which for Sat Nav types is at LS25 6JE. Events start at 1000 on Sat 4th September and should wrap around 1800.
This is for a good cause and we are aiming high this year on the fund raising front - your support would be gratefully received.

I went to the similar Family Day at Sherburn earlier this year and it was BRILLIANT

A lovely place and plenty to do, decent parking and a nice clubhouse

It is a shame that it is the same weekend as the Back Home in Blackpool for the TVRs

Good luck with it all

Cheers
Richard

PS BTW Clive How much is entry?

Very well - I promise not to ramble on about EFA EJ200's or Bloodhound SSC for too long!

Those who are attending Help for Heroes append below:

1. Clive Bell SEAT IBIZA CUPRA SPORT 16V

Well I was being serious in order to boost the number coming along to this particular event bud. It's in a thread where the information is slightly vague and almost confused where a dedicated thread should give the appropriate information and grab at least a bit of attention.

That being said, I'm hoping to be there with my lady friend if she can make it

I am sorry - on previous events I have seen a list which people copy and add their details.

The Help for Heroes event is hosted by Church Fenton Air Training Corps, a Sqdn I taught on two occasions as a serviceman and once as a Civilian Instructor.
My link to Help the Heroes is that I was a Serviceman from 1970 - 1998 and I wouild like others to support the work that the monies raised here provides.
My link to the Bloodhound SSC (see topic in Yorkshire Forum)is that it is a British World Record attemt that uses three power plants (engines to you).

1. V12 750bhp petrol engine (I assisted with F3000 and Cosworth DFR Pilbeam).
2.EJ200 Typhoon Europhighter Gas Turbine (I was a member of an RAF Project Team in Munich during the development phase 1989 - 93)
3. Rocket Engine - the largest of its type ever constructed in this country (I worked on Bloodhound Surface to Air Missiles - each had four rockets fitted)

Thats my link

To become a Bloodhound SSC Ambassador I had to become a STEM Ambassador and I now provide a non-teacher perspective on topics to school children as and when I can.
Oh - and I have marshalled at Harewood Hillclimb since 1988.

Is that enough ?

Many thanks to those who pitched up to a quiet but sunny day.
The event organisers received £7500 in funds raised.
Thanks again.
