Blyton 17th October
Discussion
Okay, I know it's in Lincolnshire, but it's only about ten minute's drive from the Jenny Wren, so I figured this was as good a place as any!
Has anyone been to Blyton recently? I've heard rumblings about it being taken over by someone who's serious about improving it, but not sure whether they've done much yet. Javelin have put them on as a new venue, which I take as a good sign.
I live nearby, so I'm quite tempted to book it, but I'd rather not come back with vibration white finger and stonechips all over the car

I was at a recent big Mazda Event there.
It has been taken over, and they have planning permission for a proper track - apparently there having a 'strip' re-tarmaced all the way round to the same width of cadwell, which will leave a good few metres of the old hard surfaces to each side as run off. speaking to the guys there it certainly sounds good and as theres no-one close by it should be a good circuit for noisy cars.
HOWEVER - right now - its a knackered, potholed, gravelly, sprint round an abandoned bit of wasteland.
Not saying that in a bad way either - there plans sound great, but thats how it is at the moment.
Great fun by all means if you have a cheap track car, but if your worried about stone chips/damage then I'd avoid. also the run off at the moment on some of the corners consists of hitting hay bales, tyres, or ending up in a farmers field!
