I know a few people are hooning on their way to Malton but i prefer to be in bed at that time. Besides, the afternoon needs filling with some car based activities!

*****EDIT*****

I have changed the route slightly to cut out going to the coast. We felt it was a tad long and the coast road would be a bit busy.

New distance is 63 miles start to finish smile

Depart Specialist Cars at 12:30pm. Hoon north to Beck Hole (near Goathland) for a pint/sandwich/use the gents. Then do a loop around the top of the moors on some of the best roads in England. Finishing point at the Fairfax in Gilling (near Helmsley) for an optional pint before parting ways. Gilling is on the B1363 for quick access to the York ring road, A19, A1 and A64.

I think it would be best to divulge the exact route on the day, though you get the rough idea!

Attendees so far:

Z4 - Tom W (kong)
RX8 - Liam B
Lotus Elise S1 - Tom B (Minimax)
Golf R32 - Ol B
TVR S2
TVR Chimaera
Greenmachine- renault scenic
Balders118 - puma
Andy C - Lotus Elise 111S
Anthony W - MK Indy

All cars welcome but preferably no dangerous drivers. We follow the usual hooning rule of waiting at junctions for the person behind you to catchup.

Whos in?

A Bunch of us MX-% drivers are heading up to Croft on Sunday Morning to see our favourite mechanic Rodders win the Max5 Championship, and hopefully we've blagged a couple of 'parade' laps in our cars round the circuit. Hoping the sun stays out!

Tom I think technically thats next Sunday!

I'll look out for you at Malton, I'll be heading up with a bunch of other Mazda drivers early in the AM, depending on what time you leave I may come up with you for fish and dirks.

Just a heads up. I believe it's War Weekend on the NYMR, might be worth avoiding going through Pickering.

Is there a particular place within the business park where will all be meeting before heading off? The park is quite large, so might be wise to all meet up somewhere like the barkers car park - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=York+Road+Business... as this was pretty quiet compared to the rest of the industrial park at the last meet

Great turn out for the run. Sorry we lost you Mark, i think there was some confusion is we were actually stopping in Helmsley. We stopped at the turnoff just outside Kirkbymoorside and we all waved at you but must not have seen us frown We also lost Gib literally just before the finishing point at Gilling!

The TVR broke down on the way home aswell!

Fun run though, shall certainly be another thumbup

Yeah, was a great run. Who ever was videoing (I think some of you were) get them up on youtube and post a link!

Good to meet everyone, had a very fun drive. Those roads are insane. I managed to drive along some pretty good roads heading back also following the nav. Apologies for leaving early but I was a long way from home and couldn't be too late back.

Saw some good, and some nuts (greenmachine) driving! Would definately be up for another run at some point. I think most of you are a long way north of me though so I may find it difficult though.

What happened to the TVR?

Not sure exactly about the TVR as it happened after we went our seperate ways. Think its a hot start issue though so should be going again now!
