Sunday 17th directions help

Hi all, i will be coming to the malton run, only trouble is, sutton bank is closed apparently?, so how would i get to the meet from catterick garrison?

I would go:
A1 and then A1(M)
Leave A1(M) at J47
A59 towards York
Around the York Ring Road clockwise
A64 to Malton

Not exactly a very interesting route, but the quickest.

Or alternatively head towards York, but turn left south of Thirsk towards Bylands Abbey and come up the back route of Sutton Bank, then you're back on track without the ring road rubbish at York.

The other more scenic route could be to head over towards Teeside and head southeast from Stokesley to Helmsley. Going that way you must stick to the new 50 mile an hour limit of course.
