I want to get one of these all installed nicely in my car, so it works with the iPhone and the steering wheel controls etc (E85 BMW Z4 btw)

Can anyone recommend anyone to do all this. I'm tempted by Halfords but very worried that they might screw something up. I'd prefer to go to someone trusted, but for that I need to ask on here for recommendations biggrin

Auto Electricians on Kirkstall Road - next to Netto are very good.

Charged me £20 (yes £20)....although I did have the ISO cable.

Cool.

It seems a good set up from what I can tell.

Get in car, plug iphone into connector, charges it, does music, does phone calls etc, and can even use my steering wheel controls too!

Great biggrin

There is a place opposite Seacroft hospital, near the Halfords, that will fit one for £229.99, but I guess the extra boxes/looms for steering controls etc I might need add another £30 or so...

whatever you do, don't update your iphone's firmware to version 4 before you try using the parrot or you will need to tit around updating the parrots firmware too.

It's a pain in the arse and makes it useless at playing back music from your iphone...

TBH it's not a major problem updating the parrot, you get the update onto a USB stick and connect it to the USB connector on the kit and tell it to update. 9200 firmware 1.70 is the most upto date at the moment

I did mine through the Parrot software (downloaded to laptop) and sent the update via bluetooth.
