planning to do all the days, but have yet to work out stages etc

Looking forward to it! don't think perez is doing it with his stratos though which is a shame, would have loved to see that running

Perez is showing as having an entry, no guarantee that he will show up though.
It will be a shame if he doesn't start, the event won't be the same without him and the Stratos.

If anyone from Halifax facies a lift I might have space for one, pm me if you want to come along.

Friend of mine works for BTR who do all the running for Steve Perez/VK - I'll ask him if they expect to be running the Stratos this year.

He's a very useful guy to know as I've often hid from the rain in that big blue truck they have.

He bloody hates that Stratos too hehe

How do you go about going to see the stages? I'm supposed to be going to a 40th on the Friday but.... Well you know, Kisses from (should be long dead) Aunties etc.

I know I'd rather be hearing brum brum than Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep......

How much is entry and where's the best places to watch?
Do I need one of these?

Keep meaning to head up to the RAC, maybe this year if work permits. Little snap I grabbed of Perez from Goodwood special stage earlier this year. The sound that Stratos makes is just divine bouncing off the trees.

I'll be doing Pickering Showground on the Friday evening, and then maybe a Forest stage at Keilder or something later.

The Friday night stage at Pickering is good for getting up close to the cars (I managed to have a chat with Ari Vatanen last year through the window of his Escort!)
its £10 in I beleive. You can wander round the service park and get really close to the cars and have a good nosey round, you can watch them passing through the official start line, and then theres a special stage running round the outside of the park which looks great in the dark, lots of nosie, lots of flames, etc etc. Wrap up warm and bring money for hot food!

I will be up marshalling in langdale, signing on for marshals is 8.30am.
I always marshall as you get to stand a lot closer to the action and sometimes get freebies too smile.
And no marshalls=no event so they are always happy to have people go help out

Anywhere in Dalby Forest I'd say cool I'm going for all 4 days. Driving up from Kent on Friday, in car o/n. Langdale, Hamsterly and Carlisle service on Saturday. Days INN room at Lockerbie o/n then Ae, Twigglees and Newcastleton on Sunday. Staying at daughter's in Newcastle on Sunday eve then Highfield on Monday -pub lunch then home!

We're heading to Pickering for a couple of hours, then going to Dalby.

Probably head to the Wood Yard.
