Hi All

I have come into an old Gas Gas EC 250 motocross bike.

I am keen to have a go on it before deciding if I should sell it, the question is where?

I live in Hipperholme, near Halifax and am looking for somewhere legally to ride the bike off road (flappits used to be great near Keighley but I beleive the fun police have stopped riding there after accidents / idiots etc)

If anyone knows a venue for such a bike I would be greatful.

Regards

Thanks for the tip GUys,

I contacted them and they only do trials, not motocross.

Any other ideas guys?

Thanks

I did the Yamaha off-road school at Red Earth Farm, Bolton which is not a million miles away. Expensive (ish) for the day but offered plenty of time on their bikes. Worth doing if you've never ridden off-road before IMO.

Prepare to be very sore.

I have been to Flappits many times over the past eight or nine years and taken away a few Dads dying in front of their children and a child dying in front of his Dad - the 'fun police' are just trying to save lives........ maybe yours.......

Easy, Parkwood 4x4 park at Tong. They have days for Enduro, MX and Trials Bikes. Just call to find out when the next day is. http://www.parkwood4x4.co.uk/

You can also try Doncaster Moto Parc which is for dedicated Moto-X bikes

My vote for Parkwood, Me and my mates grew up riding our mountain bikes there, then later motorcross and rallying and offroading an know the family well, rebecca is running the place nowadays i think. Fantastic tracks there too, and as Ryan (a family member) is well into his motorcross there's usually a couple of jumps about too... he competed in the enduro against everyone else on a 250cc crosser and came top 3,lol! great venue!
