My new car.....
Discussion
Well, picked it up today from Malton and am chuffed to bits with it. Not exactly the best time of year weather wise to collect a car that just shouts "go on then, spin up them turbos" but I'm not complaining
Having sold my 3.2 in March to a guy in Mallorca, this summer has been a long porkless one but I'm back inside one of Stuttgarts finest, well for my budget anyway.
Big hats off to John and the team at Malton as well
They have done so much to this car in terms of preparation, it's jaw dropping really how they turn their cars out. In a nutshell, items replaced that were in need of, or would be due at some time in the near future include:
All 3 cooling rads, both air con rads, new discs and pads all round, new battery, all 6 coil packs, power steering pump & reservoir, 2 rear tyres, replaced exhaust/turbo/manifold bolts, new turbo heatshields, wiper blades, installed mesh grills behind front bumper intakes and matched the rear bumper intercooler grills as well, front wheel bearings, resprayed bonnet due to stone chips, exhaust gutted for a nicer soundtrack, calipers re-painted and a major service to finish off. Sure there's a bit more but that's a thorough preperation in my eyes, and worth the premium IMHO from buying there, nicely topped off with a cast iron warranty.
It's nice to be back

Seriously, I am thinking that I may have been better getting a Turbo and a nice Range Rover Vogue instead of the Testarossa. I'm sure as soon as the ice is off the roads I'll come to my senses once again though
(very very nice Leigh)
Cheers Al.

A turbo would be another one to tick off the list of awesome rides you've had!!
Well done and good luck. Lovely car!
I think you definitely made the right decision to go with Maltons. If I were in the market for a Porsche, then they would be my first choice. I went there for the annual charity meet this year and spoke to many of the team, from the apprentice in the body shop to the owner and his wife (they were actually admiring my car as I came back to it, (I had left my phone inside)) and they all seemed genuinely excited to see us all and had an excellent set-up.
And as soon as my E30 M3 comes out of hibernation, I'm booking it in for them to have a good look around.
It's quite refreshing (in my experience anyhoo) to find a bunch of people who actually give a monkeys.
