"Gas Leak" in Leeds tonight - any gossip?

I was picking up my OH from the LGI on Great George St tonight and the police had blocked the road off with several vans here:

The "crossbow cannibal" stuff was happening around the corner today and there were still a few camera crews and photographers there for that but this seemed entirely separate as it was on another street.

There were ~10 police vehicles with blue lights on the road, ambulances and a couple of fire engines all parked up, there didn't seem to be much activity though. The only odd thing I did see was a fireman, fully dressed up in uniform with his hat on etc, opening and closing the door to a silver 5 series that was parked nearby.

The OH asked a colleague who was working a bit later if she had heard anything and they had been told it was a gas leak. There were no gas company vans visible and they aren't too far away on the gyratory.

No sign of anything on the news or the local websites (YEP etc) - just lots of coverage about the crossbow chap.

Anyone have insider gossip?
