Weather round Skipton next 48 hours

Hello all. I'm planning to attend a mate's wedding reception tomorrow night in Appletreewick. Any local knowledge of what the weather and roads are likely to be like?

Might be a bit late for you, but I'm in Halifax, not too far away.

Was some ice about this morning, it's now damp and foggy with only some
very minor roads a having any snow on them.

Todays been quite a bit milder and a short thaw has begun. Main roads are fine, side roads sludgy. As long as we don't have a night freeze you should be fine. The roads to Appletreewick can be a bit dicey at the best of times so be careful. Very tight country roads. Appletreewick is stunning though. Craven Arms is my favourite pub. Have fun!

thanks both, had a good trip both ways, roads pretty good even right up by Birdsall and Appletreewick, great night had by all.

The only patch still icy was the hotel car park; took me half an hour to get the bloody car to move!!
