Does anyone have any recommendations for wedding car companies in the West Yorkshire area? Looking towards the classic vintage style. Cheers.

Hi,

We used Celebrations Wedding Cars who are based in Tad. Lovely couple who did a top job for us. Google them - their website is about forth of fifth on the listing.

We we're more than happy with them.

One thing that did impress me - they spent time 'reccing' the route and the venue and also had a contingency planned should the old girl not start... - the car, not the Wife!

We had a mark three RR Silver Cloud. Was a lovely car and the service from the bloke was brilliant. The bad news is I can't remember his name, but he was in a little hamlet a few miles from Elvington - he travelled to us in Harrogate no probs. I'm sure a google search will come up trumps if you're interested.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll google search for both of these. I think making sure there is a backup car available would be sensible given the age of the cars and the distance these 2 would have to travel (to Skipton in this case).

Any more recommendations are much appreciated smile

PHer Steve (Killer 2005) had a great idea and hired one of our caterhams for himself and also to take the groom to the church!! Still finding confetti in the car months later! Don't think you could get away with it as a going away car. Even the Sv might be a bit small and drafty! Hope you find something nice.

Would love to turn up in a Seven hehe I guess I could drive us both to the reception scratchchin

Also saw a nice 50's Bentley 6.0 V8 that can be hired but not sure I could convince the FiL to take that option unfortunately, especially as it's not us paying!

Our wedding car was from Horsfields of Halifax, and I would happily recommend them.

The guy that owns it and his son do coach built car bodies, so had a fleet of matching 1920's/30's Rolls Royces that they had built. When we went to meet them at their place in Halifax we were shown around the workshop which looked like an old mill after I said I was a car enthusiast.

The service and price from them was spot on.

(My cousin also used them and I don't think he had any issues either).

Cheers, looks like we are off to view the cars at Horsfields of Halifax. Wonder if we'll get the workshop tour too?!

To hijack the thread slightly, if anyone knows of a company that could provide a classic American car for wedding use please post up. Ideal car would be a 4 door Chevy Bel Air to give an idea.

No 2 door muscle cars unfortunately frown

Never used them, but they do quite a lot of the stretch limo jobs round West Yorks.

And they have a F430 as well.

My mother is getting married next year and wanted to surprise her husband to be with a car on the morning of wedding.

Looked all over in West Yorks area for something that in all honestly was cheap without looking cheap! In the end went with these guys based in Morley.

He only charged £90 for the Chrysler 300 for an hour. So she was v happy with that, best price she got by far from any wedding hire company. Oh and yes I know its only a Chrysler blah blah

Sorry to bump an old thread but instead of sticking up a new one:
Has anyone come across a place that has either a New Jag XJ or Maserati QP for hire? My sister is getting married in March and was thinking of one of those as an alternative for the usual RR/Bentley

I am toying with the idea of getting a QP, but to be honest, it's only going to get used when the odd petrol head comes along....would a modern Bentley or RR not suit?
