My 21 year old son had his car stolen in Sheffield, yesterday.

Sometimes PH delivers miracles, so even though it is a long shot, I think that it is worth posting about it here.

The car is a Fiat Punto, Silver, 1242cc 3 door hatchback. Registration nunmber LC51TVT. I'm a bit gutted because he had a new clutch fitted just before Christmas.

I'm at a loss to understand why anyone would want to steal such a car - surely there must be much more valuable cars around?

Thanks for reading.

Hi Don,

I will be driving around Sheffield quite a bit tomorrow. I will keep an eye out.

Hope you get it back soon.

There's a really good, very active Sheffield Forum, called, Sheffield forum, I recall....

Well worth posting up there as thry have many very helpful members, when I lived i'n Sheffield it was a fabulous "ears to the ground" type resource.

I bet thru have a section where a post like this would be welcome and you may get lucky with a spit or some info.

Good job there is something useful in Sheffield like the forums, cos relying on the Police is a waste of fking time!!!

I think stealing a car is classified as too much for them to cope with! They dont deal with real criminals you know!

Well, the police just gave him a Crime Reference Number. I don't think that they even bothered to wish him "Good luck".

Sontrag - Thanks for the recommendation. I have posted on the Sheffield forum.
