And had a great time! Fun fun fun all day for £20 entry fee, can't go wrong. Didn't (quite) come last either, despite being horribly inconsistent.

They do a few of these in the NW if anyone fancies a go. No special skills, kit or racing license required, any road-legal car welcome. The next one is Sunday March 20th, Blackburn services on the M65. £22 to enter + £7 club membership if you're not a member of an eligible club.

Some vids -
Loads of arm-twirling inside the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ukBJwnqs6k
Looks much slower outside (NOT one of my better runs): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CqQOKnoh5c
Much more exciting in the hands of an expert (Autotest, which involves reverse moves too): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkqKUHz7oxs

Well, it's taken all year but I've finally won something! 2nd in class at the Bolton-le-Moors solo last Sunday. Woo-hoo! smile

This has been a laugh all year and cost pretty much nothing. Would heartily recommend to anyone who fancies dabbling in competition.

Well done Stephan

I have been doing the grass autotests with Ilkley & District Motor Club all year
and have also both loved the fun and spent hardly anything the same

Doing another this Sunday 2nd near the airport costing me £7.50
Grass autotest in the morning and a Production Car Trial in the afternoon
The Jag is too big for the PCT but I will enjoy doing the autotest

Let me know if you want to see

Cheers
Trickie

Thanks Trickie! Will have to get over to one of the grass events sometime - afraid I'm away this weekend but maybe next time...
