Some new speed camera signs have popped up from the ring road roundabout all the way along to the NSL country lane but i didn't spot a camera anywhere.
Have they mounted a camera in the woods somewhere or something or is it just scaremongering bulls
t?
I'll have a look while walking the dog.Have they mounted a camera in the woods somewhere or something or is it just scaremongering bulls
t?I drove in both directions on the lookout (with a queue of tailgaters behind me) and didn't notice one but i went towards harrogate road before the 60 limit so it could be somewhere down there.
I remember when i was at school there someone else said there mum regularly did 60mph down there
.
Ahhhhhh, the good old days, when not everyone in power had no common sense and no one paid attention to fanatical groups and we had the safest roads in europe (and the world?).

ked it all up for the almighty £££.I live on the top end of King lane and after walking the dog tonight from the section between Alwoodley Lane and Nursery Lane there are no speed cameras. I haven't seen any from the car from nursery lane to the ring road. But there are a lot of new camera signs, guess it's only a matter of time.
Must be over the roundabout.
I've noticed in a couple of areas the grass has a dropped curb installed and has an area about the right size for a van, with a kind of wire mesh on the lowered section. rather than grass. I wonder if they plan on having mobile cameras there.
I've driven down there before with one police car by the blind hill on the road between the fields and another the other end in the bus turning section by the entrance to the shopping centre, with one of the cars behind a car it pulled over just by the bus stops.
They are installing those crap new street lights down the NSL section between wetherby? road and the 40 mph limit by roman avenue. Wont be long until the limit is lowered to 40 to match the dual carriage way incompetence down by sainsburys.

Yes I noticed one of these near the play area opposite the junction with the avenue.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by the bit between Harrogate Road and King Lane being lowered to 40. At this rate all my fun straights on the Ring Road will all be gone.speed8 said:

.I've just seen marked cars parked at the bottom of leafield drive, thats near the ring road roundabout on the way upto stonegate road roundabout, not on the school side of king lane. there will no doubt be cameras there soon though, stainbeck road grew those signs at least a couple of months before the cameras actually appeared
and regarding the 40 limit from king lane roundabout to harrogate road/bp roundabout, the only way this won't happen to the stretch from tongue lane to king lane too, is if the exit slip road which the buses use by the side of comet, is closed, i mean the amount of w
kers that have pulled out into the right lane when i am just yards behind, is unbelievable. must have had close calls 3 times in the last year alone. if that was an entrance only that would be a much safer arrangement imho. its not the layout thats dangerous, its the people who don't observe and just roll out into the road like t
