The Website said:
1ST PRIZE - TOP GUN:

The winning team at Red Bull Flugtag will have a choice of prizes. Your daredevil pilot could be rewarded for his or her heroics with enough
flying lessons to get their private pilot's licence. Or, to reward a more collective effort, the whole team could enjoy flights in one of the
world's top performing two seat aerobatic planes. But, if you've had your flying fix, the team could just take £5,000 instead.

Not building, but going to attend this and bask in the magnificence of man and his ability to build wacky contraptions

That's tempting - if only I had the space to build a thing!

I'd love to attempt it in a model Pinky Ponk - my two year old would love it.

The Pink Ponk for those of you that don't have kids...

My plan would be to wear it as a sort of large helmet (and hope for no neck injuries)

Never mind building something for this, did anyone get tickets for this event? Came across this article http://www.northleeds-news.co.uk/flugtag-farce/ and it looks like no-one in the area has got tickets. I live 30 seconds from the park and I was unsuccessful too! So much for the 24000 tickets!

Welcome to the forum. Out of 7 people I know who applied for tickets, only 1 person managed to get any. Noticed on another forum that someone from Huddersfield managed to get tickets. I assumed preference would have been given to people local to the park!

I didn't get any tickets. Considering its at a public park, around a lake, i'm not sure exactly how they plan on stopping people watching.

I didn't get any tickets and live in Pudsey, my brother and his father in law are both LS8 1 (literally a minutes walk away) and neither got tickets.

Think I might get him to scope it out, see if there's any chance to sneak in somehow.

my brother got tickets and his friend. I got a email saying I won tickets, but unlike my brother and his friend the email had no link to print off the tickets. Had no reply on the email I sent to ticketmaster

I got 2 tickets. Next door has been building in his garage for months! On back of the wagon now ready for the unveiling. Look out for a gang of long haired chaps dressed as nuns........ and I think the Pope may do a guest appearance.

My sister and her mate are going, but only due to her friend working at BMW and them having a stand there or something.

But you all could get friendly with Jimmy Saville and see if you can see the ramp from his pent-house......

Now then, now then.

That was a bit of a stty idea, having a lottery for tickets. It should be on a first come, first served basis.
