We're off to a Wedding in Grimsby next month and it's at the "Stallingborough Grange Hotel" - we're thinking about staying over, but I'd like to be sure that it's a nice enough hotel...

Has anyone stayed there to know what it's like - or does anyone work there to be able to tell us what's great (or not) about it?

Cheers

I've never stayed there, but I've been there a few times and it seems like a nice place. It's out in the sticks, so no worries about the clientèle.

You say you've been there and then tell him not to worry about the clientèle. confused

Thanks all, just not sure whether to stay there or in another hotel, wasn't sure if this hotel was worth the money smile

Probably a bit late, but I used to work behind the bar there when I was 18.

It's pretty nice (still owned/ran by the same people). Isn't full of yokels. Like Al said, it is out in the sticks a bit, and to be honest there aren't exactly an abundance of (decent) hotels in the Grimsby area. It isn't cheap for drinks, but it depends where you are coming from (it is about 3 quid a pint of "premium" lager, a little cheaper for bitters) then again, it does class its self as a "hotel" not a pub.

Oh and the function room bar used to be more expensive than the main bar, so go to the main bar for drinks =P

Thanks - It's booked now at any rate (through Expedia and QuidCo - £95 plus £7 cashback and 200 Nectar points!)

I'll bear it in mind for the main bar too - thanks smile
