Great photos Luke.
Good to see some familar faces today and some new. Great day and did you manage to shave any more time off your runs Simon?
Had another good run out with rog007, these Italian tune- ups may become a habit if we're not careful
Nice to see you again Rob and also Trickie Dickie, and good to meet you Steve at long last.
Just need some normal food tomorrow after todays junk food derby!

Great afternoon, good to put some names to faces as well. Was disappointed by the police presence on the way home. 2 police bikes neatly tucked away and two police cars again very neatly parked behind some foliage in the middle of know where - why??? - at least pitch up near one of the villages with reduced speed limits. Really annoys me, surly its better to have a visible presence that ensures everyone adheres to the speed limit rather than lurking for opportune speeders - no doubt some will say adhere to the speed limit in the first place (and i agree) its just the principle! Rant over - other than that a great day!
Super photos Luke. Good to see you both today, and a pleasure to meet Steve and Rog too at long last. Great day out, it was a shame about the police presence but there's nothing to be afraid of if you're being responsible. I did see 2 bikes and a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth pulled on the way home, I hope they weren't caught doing silly speeds.
I live in Aughton, a village just off the B1228 south of the raceway
The turn off to our village is about half way along a straight between two nice to drive sets of bends
The noises we hear of various vehicles making their way along that straight could safely lead one to make an informed guess that sometimes some of them creep over the speed limit.
I can see why some locals that live nearer the road, especially in the 40 and 30 zones might feel moved to ask the police to take such action

Nice pictures Luke. Thanks. If its ok I will have them posted up on the batley Brag web site also?
Leigh, my best time was recorded at 13.2030 which was my 3rd run of 5 in total. However I felt I was getting faster on every run but the times didn't reflect that. I'm not sure why, maybe the wind had a part to play. However I'm sure I can break the 13 sec barrier next time I run....but we will see.
On the BiB subject, I pulled over and had a chat with one of the officers who was stood by the side of the road. He said they had put themselves about to make sure folks knew they were around and they came onto the Yorkraceway circuit also so they were visible. I beleive that the Yorkraceway folks also put a tannoy announcement out that the Police were doing speed checks, however the officer said that they had nabbed loads of folks that were way over the limit....not just a little. He also said that they are always around in that area on a Bank Hoilday and it wasn't jsut a YorkRaceway thing. I'm sure anyway that there are several folks facing a points and fine senario this morning.
Cheers. BB.
