Anyone link me up with an E30 M3 hiding away somewhere in Scotland? Prefer a non runner or the like as its for a project and would consider damaged or a basket case.

Thanks in advance as im tired of searching all the normal places.

You could try Gordon Spence at Ashton Motors in Dundee. He has one on his website at the moment and has had a few come and go over recent times. He may know of others around.

The plan is to replace the running gear with an E46 set up and probabaly some paint for a fast road car. I guess the more mint it would be the more guilty id feel about messing with it.

Any colour any year considered.

Thanks

Don't bother with an M3 then, they're all LHD.

I Have a e30 m3 track prep'd RHD that I might sell, sold my unused BTCC shell so the new owner my have his old shell.

I know of one that's laid up but doubt it's for sale, and Gordon is out of the car game.

Even dog's are about 10K with a glossy lick of paint.

Best buy mine and get 4k for the old engine and box, and can give you a few pointes with the s54 conversion.

Unless you really want a E30 M3, a cheap e36 m3 is a better and cheaper base to upgrade

Thanks for the feedback. If it wasnt for the car mags going on about how great the e30 m3 was it would be a whole lot easier!

There have been a couple of rolling shells etc for sale at the 5k mark recently so I can wait and see.

Its the E30 model for me.

It was Red. It was a G plate. It was bought from a BMW car club member in Jedburgh. I sold it to a chap on the South Coast of England.

Immaculate and had cloth interior.

Italian originally imported to the UK by the BMW guys at Independant Motor company.

Obviously wish I had kept it now as I sold it for about £20k In 2004 on pistonheads to a very nice chap from Hastings.

Im sure he sold it on shortly later as I he had a cettoto and like me wasnt that impressed with the car either. Probably made a profit too I guess.

In had a real slagging match about the sale on an M Power forum as I only had it a few months and sold it fro a profit but I genuinely would have kept it if it was any good. It was too slow.

Dont have the chassis number. I will have a pic somewhere that I will post if your interest.

Replaced it with a yellow Z4M Coupe. Lots more fun!
