Sunday lunch suggestions near Loch Ness please

My parents are over in 4 weeks time and we will be touring some of Scotland with them. We are driving up the west side of Loch Ness on a Sunday, and haven't decided on somewhere to stop for lunch yet. Any good ideas please?

Lovat Arms in Fort Augustus?

As said before.

North end the Dores in, south end the Lovat Arms, they also have good rooms.

Mid-way on north side, Polmaily Hotel just outside Drumnadrochit, or southside, The Whitebridge Inn for a bit more rough and ready, packet of crisps or warm pie type lunch.

Beautiful hotel, but I don't think I'll be taking our 2 wee ratbags for lunch there with the grandparents.

Dores to far north for our trip as we are staying near Onich and it's a day trip in a minibus (8 adults, 2 kids, and a dog).

The Loch Ness Inn looks the winner for us. Location, Cost, Menu, all perfect

The Loch Ness Inn is very good.

I'm staying in Fort Augustus just now and one of the guests at the b&b said he ate at the Lovat last night and was impressed.

We stayed a night at the Loch Ness Inn a couple of years ago, food was excellent (breakfast and evening meal), the place was really good.

I recommended the Dores inn on the other thread, cracking food in a quaint wee place

It's a far better run up that side of the Loch anyway from a driving perspective of course especially coming from south

Pish food. Well, every time I've been.

Loch Ness inn is a nice place, though their lunchtime bar menu can be a bit limited.
