doing a tour around scotland starting tomorrow. My car only really takes v power [can cause engine issues they say if not]
Il be filling up in edinburgh and toping up in glasgow but from there im heading to fort william then inverness then ulapool then lochinver and right round the top to wick then back to inverness and home to edinburgh.
So im wondering if you guys know of any shell garages in inverness or wick area???
I know i can get it at ulapool but at around 225miles to a tank am struggling to reach else where and camping gear limiting space for spare tanks in boot.

ps shells v power site is hopeless so any advice would be great, cheers si

Get yourself some octane booster. North of Ullapool you will really struggle. Have a good trip!

Agreed. 95 ron is almost all you can get. One garage in the whole of Wester Ross and Sutherland (Ullapool, and I haven't been there for ages so for I know it's stopped selling it)

Take octane booster and every single time you see somewhere selling fuel stop and fill up as it can be a lot of miles before you reach another

Fort William has a Gleaner that sells Vpower. Cant remember the road but the road takes you to Spean Bridge. I am sure there is a Gleaner near Invergarry as well that has Vpower that I used last year. What about Loch Carron there are 2-3 petrol stations there surely one has Vpower or an equivalent?

Do Gleaner sell V-Power?

I know in Kyle of Lochalsh the Gleaner sold 97 ron 'super' and I'm pretty sure the Gleaner in Ullapool had the same.
I very much doubt there is any super between Ullapool and Thurso, can't remember if the Tesco in Wick sells Momentum (99)but I'm sure the one in Dingwall does.

I've run the Tuscan on 95 when I've had to and it was ok. I think if you fill up with 99 Ron in Inverness and add 95 Ron when necessary you'd be ok.

The Ullapool Gleaner sold 98RON in '09...

I have vague memories of at least one other Gleaner selling 98 but I couldn't say where.
