These vile hate preachers are planning on coming to Scotland and picket the church at Queens Cross in Aberdeen because of the gay minister row. More info here http://www.scotsman.com/news/Notorious-American-cu...

WBC have appeared on Louis Theroux programmes and 3 members of this 'church' have appeared on Jeremy Kyle, so you may have heard of them.

Although I'm not gay myself, I urge you to join in protest if they do decide to picket here. Their methods are frankly disgusting, if you haven't heard about them, these people believe that homosexuality is completely wrong and all gay people will burn in hell, as will anyone living in a country that tolerates homosexuality (who they call 'fag enablers'). They also picket at the funerals of dead soldiers, trying to preach that the solider's death was God showing His wrath and everyone should rejoice because they believe the solider's are 'fag enablers' and fighting for a country that allows homosexuality, and this is what sickens me most, Armed Forces are away fighting for their country, for democracy, and freedom of speech, which in this context is kinda ironic.

If anyone wants to join in the planned protest against the picket, then I believe it is in October, will get back to you once the date is confirmed. Normally I would just ignore stuff like this, but frankly what these people are doing at soldier's funerals is disgusting and completely unacceptable. It doesn't matter if you want to protest and aren't gay, like I said, I'm not but I will be going down there, as will SWMBO.

Why are we letting them in ? Surely there is a race-hate law or somethng that can be used to deny these fkers access.

I believe a few members of this 'church' have been banned from entering the UK, but sadly not all of them.

One thing that strikes as odd, there's around 70 members, but almost all of them are from the same family, bit of inbreeding perhaps?

I'm not one for religion either, my gripe with these lunatics is they picket the funerals of solider's killed in action. This really annoys the OH too as she has family in the army, which is why we're headed down there

I also, am not one for religion, but I honestly think that what they believe in is quick frankly sickening.

I'm not sure if WBC have thought it through. The last time people with extreme views tried to inflict their view on Scotland, a burning terrorist got punched in the face. But in all seriousness, a few of us from work are planning on joining the protest against WBC but are a little worried it could turn into a riot

Apparently WBC are legal trolls, and make a healthy living from provoking (within their "rights to protest", etc) then suing anyone who crosses the line in retaliation.

There's a group of bikers, made up of ex military and civilian voluenteers who make it their business to counter-protest the WBC. They turn up in their bikes and rev the engines to drown out the WBC. There's some good clips on youtube of them doing their stuff. Now.. imagine 100 TVRs in Aberdeen that day...

Only 100 TVRs? This is Aberdeen, where in one walk to work I saw a Murcielago LP640, a 599 GTO and countless Nissan GTRs, hopefully anyone with any loud engines would like to show up. Wonder if we promote it like this then people could show up for the noise of hundreds of V8s, V10s and V12s, maybe even a few I6s if there's a few Sagaris owners around? Ilove the sound of those!
