Just looked out of the office window onto Bath St and took this with my phone camera, explains a lot

Aye, workmen (Glasgow South) dug up what they believed to be an old WW11 UXB......... Dunno the outcome but suspect if it was anything we'd have heard!

Or, if you are a couple of miles out it may be a whistle, gradually getting louder and higher pitched.

Many were incendiary devices designed to cause fires. Most of the rest would take out a house, not a street.
