Never done such a thing before - what are god stages to go to? best spectating spots for seeing the cars in action?

Hmm not heard anything yet - to confuse things, I'll be going on sunday afternoon...so either High Corrie or the scone palace runs later...

May try googling to see if that throws up any tips...

Don't rush around trying to see too many stages as you will miss most of the action. Give yourself plenty of time between stages as it gets pretty crowded on the back roads during a rally. Enjoy.

I'd recommend heading to any of the Saturday stages. They were used last weekend so might be a bit rough but plenty of good places to watch.
Craigvinean - from "The Hermitage" car park going uphill there are a variety ofsweeping bends and after 1/2mile a hairpin.
Drummond Hill - can be very slippy if wet, again good watching from pretty much anywhere you get in
Errochty - better viewing near the Loch Tummel end of the stage as there's not so much of a walk in.

Won't be out competing on the Nat B as I've an exam too near (won;t even be spectating unless the weather is v.good)

Was up today. Went to the first 4 stages then headed to drummond hill for the 5th to find out it was cancelled due to the weather! Typical I'd just walked to the top of the hill when I found this out.

Did get some good views of the action and even found out a panda 4x4 is pretty good offroad!

Anybody know what happened with the "incident" on the A9?

I thought the same. Was informed by a marshall that the competitors couldn't gain access to the start of the stage though.

The ever helpful Police where stopping the competitors from getting to the forest, it was soon sorted though.

Hi! - thanks for the tips....

Ended up doing plan C which was nipping up to calendar for the sunday lunch service interval - just to have a look at the cars...took my 3 year old along to look at race cars and have a family lunch out....

So different to sitting in a damp forest somewhere siping tea from a thermos! :-)

Also saw the cars again as they left the high *** stage and went back towards Calendar to get back to perth.

Highlight of the day was watching two pensioners in a fabia, trying to navigate their local car park, only to discover it was a service area, and there was a rally car rigt behind them beeping furiously to get out of the way so it could get to it's mechanics!

they looked slightly shocked biggrin

Impressed at the access you could get to the cars, and how many international teams there were - 50% of the cars looked to be Scandinavian!
